Okay, so time back, I look at my fantasy works and suddenly realize I've got a gaping hole in my inventory.
It's safe to say that the two mainstays, the pillars of Fantasy Art are: Dragons & scantily clad women.
Oops.
So I began the "Mythic Beauties" series. It started with a Character Sketch that developed into a contract of the "Pirate
Girl" you see to your right. But the client really wanted the piece rendered as a "Drow" or dark elf, so we made that version,
too (Click on the image to view the dark elf version). However, I didn't feel this piece was... scantily clad enough. Therefore
my posse and I had a brainstorm session to decide what kind of work we needed for this series.
We came up with a list of a dozen or so viable subjects, and decided that some of them (about half) should have nude, or at
least topless, versions. After having made the "censored" version of the Summer Faerie for the "Season Faeries" series, I
could easily envision making 2 versions. "Pirate Girl" (and "Pirate Drow") became the precursors to the "Mythic Beauties"
series, and not an official part of it for it's just not showing enough skin!
