One of my more well-known (and well-viewed) murals, this began with the Oltorf location, their second,
where I produced a border of random vines wrapped around and about the 12" green stripe about 12" from the ceiling. They
must have been happy with it, because when they opened their 3rd location a couple of years later (Ben White & S. Lamar),
they called me back.
I decided that where the layman may look upon the vines and say to themselves, "That's a neat decorating idea," they wouldn't
really think about the artist. Something more recognizable, such as animals, would make someone think, "Wow, that's well done."
I painted the Boa because snakes are Herpeton's mainstay. The Sugar-Glider was a really popular and fairly new pet at the
time (and so darn cute!), both were rendered life-size.
