Butterfly,
Knocking on my window,
Tapping it's wings of silken rainbow,
On the clear glass.
Butterfly,
At my door,
Long, curled antennas,
Caressing the doorknob.
Butterfly,
In my room,
Flitting about,
Dancing in the air.
Butterfly,
In my bed,
Torn and tattered wings,
Under my cold sheets.
Butterfly,
In my mind,
Long, bloody wings,
On a dead, thin body.
Butterfly,
Why do you cry?
Butterfly,
Why do you sigh?
Butterfly,
Why did you die?
Butterfly,
Why has your flight of innocence,
Ceased to protect me?
Butterfly,
I need you back,
I can't handle this tainted me.
