These pieces, called the Dire Amethyst Series, were Character Portraits for a client based mainly on the
7' tall green gargoyle beauty of the same name.
The series began with simply "Dire Amethyst" (3rd column top), and though we've produced at least 6 or 7 sketches of the character,
my favorite was the second, "Dire Moon" (top column, left). The top middle image "Lilac Sunset" was after-the-fact, because
it was a portrait request from my daughter Taryn to draw HER as a gargoyle as well!
