These pieces, called the Dire Amethyst Series, were Character Portraits for a client based mainly on
the 7' tall green gargoyle beauty of the same name.
The series began with simply "Dire Amethyst" (top left), and though we've produced at least 6 or 7 sketches of the character,
my favorite was the second, "Dire Moon" (top center). Later I produced a version of my middle daughter, Taryn, as a gargoyle
(per her request) in the form of "Lilac Sunset".
