This is a series I began in pencil years ago, but wasn't made possible until the production concept for
"The Archangels" came about. Some time after I began this project, I stumbled across the Greek Gods sketches and it occurred
to me that I could render these in much the same way as the archangels.
The angels were being produced as computer enhanced pencil drawings in dull-brown ink on gold parchment paper. It was shortly
obvious that the same concept would work with these guys in dull blue-grey on marble paper. The result was quite pleasing!
For the online versions, I had to "fake" the look of the marble paper, but I think they give a pretty good impression.
Now, I have started this series over, beginning with "Venus Rising" as a series of digital paintings! You can purchase some
